In these hard financial times, it is good to know a site like MyFreeCams.com exists. It gives you tremendous bang for your buck, considering you can chat for free, and if you catch the right show, can see anything from a woman stripping to an all out premium sex show.

MyFreeCams is not your average cam site since it is totally free to watch. It works on a token based system used to tip girls or to have a group or private show. Calling it free may be misleading, as it is not a premium site unless you can tip, but if you have a very tight budget and don't mind being a bit patient, MyFreeCams.com is probably for you.

Performer Information

At any given time you can go to MyFreeCams and find at least 500 women online. We have seen them have over 750 at peak hours. MyFreeCams breaks its women down into 2 major categories; Regular and Asian. If you click on the Asian homepage, you will always have at least 400 strictly Asian webcams. On the regular homepage you will find at least 500 other women. When you add them together you have one of best cam selections on the web, and the largest selection of Live Asian webcams.

While MyFreeCams has a great selection of cam girls, they do not cater to anything beyond women. You will not find a single transgender cam, gay cam or even a male/female couple on the site.

Cam quality and speed will vary by performer and it almost seems that it can be slowed down by how many guys are in one of the chat rooms at once. We have seen over 1000 people watching a single girl, and in a show like that, it would skip frames and have some hiccups. It appears to run off older web technology and you won't find the feed to be nearly as stunning as some of the newer sites popping up.

Site Features

There isn't much that is needed to take a look at the girls performing on cam. Just pick a thumbnail and you're good to go. An account is required however if you want to chat with the girl (free by the way), or put a token in their piggy bank.

There are numerous features on the site such as friends lists, messaging system, and the ability to resize a camera. If you have a paid account and take a girl private you can also do cam to cam chat.

MyFreeCams allows for some level of filtering, but it is really sub-par compared to sites like ImLive that will break down things into age, hair color, bust size, whether they use sex toys or not, and really whatever else you can think of. All we could figure out how to do was filter by the location. You can search the properties by keyword, but it is not specific to a field. While we like the great selection of girls, we found it hard to find a certain "type" of girl; for instance a black woman who uses sex toys and is into anal. Something like that would take some time to find over at MyFreeCams.

Member/Performer profiles are one of the stronger features found on MyFreeCams. Performers can have a profile page that is a lot like a MySpace page. They can change the layout, add galleries, videos, music, and tons of info about themselves. They can offer to sell you their email and contact details, special photos and videos, and even their phone numbers. It has a sort of Craigslist meets Myspace where the ladies can barter all sorts of unique things for tokens.

Price Information

Price is where MyFreeCams.com gets tricky. The name would indicate that everything is free, and at first glance that appeared to be the case. But that is not totally the case.

You can get a live sex cam experience for completely free. Something that no other site currently offers up. However you will probably not get any say in what is happening in the show unless you actually tip the model, or get in on a group or private show. You're also at the whim of the performer and what is going on in the chat. At other sites, you simply take the girl private and see the goods. On MyFreeCams.com, many of the girls are having friendly conversations with the guys and not performing per say. So if you're a cheapskate, be prepared to be patient and dig around for awhile to get what you desire.

MyFreeCams.com uses a token based system, with the tokens getting cheaper with the more you buy. On our account we could get them for about 8 cents per token when we bought 900 ($74.99 total). They were as high as 10 cents a piece for a quantity of 200 ($19.99). A nice bonus for people who prefer to load up.

Now the quantity does not matter unless you are getting something for your tokens, and here you will.

There are hundreds of chat rooms you can go into and eventually you will stumble into one where the girl is doing a live sex show, or will do XXX for XXX tokens. In these rooms you can tip the girl something like 20 tokens and ask for a favor in return. So that would cost you $1.80. Not bad, however it is not really that custom of a show, if you want specific requests filled you need to either tip more, or go to group or private chat. Also note, that not all models will do a public show and some will only do things like toys or anal in private or group.

Group chat is 10 tokens a minute ($0.80), and private is 60 tokens ($4.80/min). In private someone can still spy on you in what is called voyeur mode, which costs them 20 tokens/minute ($1.60). Of course you can disable this, but it will cost you. To get a true private show you need to pay 80 tokens a minute which is a whopping $6.40 cents, per minute. This is more than double what you would pay on a leading site such as ImLive.com.

Ease Of Use

We found the site a bit outdated and clunky. Besides being difficult to find the right girl and navigate the site, new windows do pop up on profiles that can cause some confusion. For as many people as My Free Cams gets on a nightly basis, we're a bit surprised that they haven't given the design a facelift. It would make the experience much better.

Final Thoughts

While we love the idea of a free sex cam site, we do not really think this is the best overall value as far as private cams go. This is a great site to go to if you are feeling horny, have some time to kill, and want to browse some cams and see if you are lucky enough to catch a free show. Lets call it window shopping.

However, if you are in the mood for something specific and are ready to blow your load to the hot blonde who has 10 sex toys and is ready for your every command, then we recommend you go elsewhere. Overall we think you should try this site because it is free, but understand that when you start paying for the goods, it's no different pricewise than what you'll find elsewhere.
